A body recovered from Lake Ontario in the Village of Youngstown has been identified, according to New York State Parks Police.
Police say an investigation reveals that Kirk Jones, of Spring Hill, Florida, was in the Niagara Falls area in April and may have been attempting a stunt by going over Niagara Falls in a large inflatable ball.
The attempted stunt was unsuccessful, which resulted in Jones' death.
Police confirm to 7 Eyewitness News that Jones survived a previous stunt over Niagara Falls in 2003.
