A southern tier man is accused of possessing child porn and asking a 9-year-old girl online to engage in a sexual performance.
State Police took Zachary Pope of Little Genesee into custody Monday. The 24-year-old Allegany County resident is charged with first degree disseminating indecent material to minors, promoting a sexual performance by a child, possessing a sexual performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers say Pope had several images of pre-pubescent girls and used his laptop to invite a 9-year-old girl to engage in a sexual performance.
He is being held in Allegany County Jail on $1,000 bail.
