Fingerprints gathered after a woman’s home was broken into led police to arrest a Niagara Falls resident on burglary charges.

On December 7, a 65-year-old woman returned to her Ridge Road home in Lewiston and discovered items missing, including prescription medication. Authorities came and collected evidence, including fingerprints the suspect left behind.

Police say 24-year-old Carly McEvoy was a positive match. She was arrested and charged with second degree burglary and petit larceny.

She is currently being held in Niagara County Jail.
