A woman was trying to use the restroom when she discovered someone was trying to record her.
Deputies say the woman found a phone in a women’s restroom on Bennett State Road in the Town of Hanover. After she found it and removed it, the suspect, 29-year-old Erick Burgos of Dunkirk, allegedly tried to get the phone back from the victim.
The victim called deputies, who interviewed Burgos. Deputies say he cooperated and they believe there are no other victims.
Burgos was arrested and charged with felony second degree unlawful surveillance. He’s due back in court next week.
