An Amherst mortgage company is laying off almost a third of its workforce.
PHH Mortgage Corp. filed a WARN notice with the New York State Department of Labor last week announcing plans to lay off 91 of its employees. According to the notice, there are currently 294 employees at PHH.
The notice also states the company is reducing staff for reasons related to fewer loans.
Layoffs will begin on Dec. 31.
