Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a 911 call was placed Saturday night for a pedestrian hit in the Town of Wheatfield.
Deputies arrived at River Road and found a pedestrian unconscious in the road and a car nearby.
Officials say the car was driving westbound when it hit the pedestrian, who was in the westbound lane.
The person hit was taken to Erie County Medical Center.
Niagara County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Unit continues to look into this incident.
