Police say a man hit by a car in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood is recovering from non-life threatening injuries today.

It happened around 8:00 am at Elmwood Avenue and Virginia. Police pulled video from a bus and fire station to determine the cause of a crash. The pedestrian, a 31-year-old Buffalo man, was running on Virginia when he was struck by a car.

The 22-year-old driver pulled over and remained on scene to give officers a witness statement. She was issued a summons for failing to yield the right of way.

Police have not released the names of the driver or the victim at this time.
