Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:30 Senator Michael Ranzenhofer will host a forum at Williamsville South High School.
Ranzenhofer is working with the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction. Tuesday's forum will be a panel discussion between law enforcement, educators, addiction specialists and health care professionals.
This year alone in Erie County 55 deaths are confirmed to be from an opioid overdose. Another 129 people are believed to have died the same way.
BlueCross BlueShield, Horizon and Amherst Police are a few of the agencies participating in Tuesday's forum.
The forum is open to the public.
