The calendar is about to flip from October to November, and on November 1, winter parking rules take effect for many parts of western new york. 

Here's a breakdown of dates and locations. 

November 1, Winter Parking Rules

*Cheektowaga: 1- 6 a.m.

*Clarence: 1- 7 a.m.

*Grand Island: 2- 7 a.m.

*Hamburg: 1-6 a.m.

*North Tonawanda: 3- 6 a.m.

*Due to mild weather, winter parking rules in the Town of Amherst will not take effect until 11/16 -- they typically start on 11/1 as well.

November 15: Overnight parking bans:

*Buffalo

*Depew

*Village of Lancaster

*Town of Tonawanda

*Village of Kenmore

*West Seneca
