Fredonia, N.Y. (WKBW) – Adriana Rosati’s, 10, heart is open to doing just about anything for her brother 31-year-old Bobby Hasson.
“They diagnosed him with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma so he is in need of stem cell transplant,” Rosati said.
Rosati said she is very close with her Hasson.
“He is an amazing brother,” Rosati said.
When she found out about his illness she was devastated but knew she had to help.
“I heard my mom talking about it. She was talking about how many days he was going to be in the hospital and how high his medical bills were going to be,” Rosati said.
Now, Adriana is helping out with a benefit called Bobby's Battle. She will be holding a dance and cheer competition at Silver Creek High School next month.
“My dance team got involved because they care about us and they are like family,” Rosati said.
Soon her mom Teresa Rosati, who is Bobby's stepmom, got involved with the effort.
“The stem cell involves about 100 days in a hospital from start to finish. Bobby is also undergoing extensive chemotherapy treatment in Virginia,” Teresa Rosati said.
Sister Alexis Carey also invited her cheer squad to be part of the cause.
“It’s for dance and cheer teams. It's nothing competitive, it's a benefit all going to a good cause,” Carey said.
The girls said their brother is one of a kind and they want to do all they can to help him during this tough time.
“He's amazing guy and is a great father to three amazing kids. He's been battling this since October of 2012,” Carey said.
Rosati said they have a bond that can’t be broken.
“He loves and cares about me and he makes me feel special,” Rosati said.
Now, the girls said it's Bobby's turn to feel special having an army of loved ones behind him helping to fight this disease.
