Amherst- She's a mother on a mission to have a crosswalk built at the intersection where her 13 year old daughter was struck and killed last year.
Mary Suszynski shares her daughter's story as a reminder for awareness.
Last June, a jeep hit 13-year-old Erin suszynski and her friend while they walked back from the playground at maple east elementary school.
The Amherst Town Board is currently conducting a study by counting cars and walkers periodically to see if Erin's mother's dream to have a cross walk built can become a reality.
There will be a benefit and dance-a-thon to raise awareness and funds on October 20th for Erin's Crossing, the organization Mary formed after the accident.
