New Save-A-Lot opens in North Tonawanda

People living in North Tonawanda have a new place to shop.

Save-A-Lot's newest location held its grand opening on Nash Road, Wednesday morning.  The first 100 customers even received a free bag of groceries.

"It's going to give them a chance to try all of our private-label items and a feel for what we sell," said co-owner, Jessica Newman.

Newman has been working for Save-A-Lot since she was a teenager, working her way up from cashier to co-owner. To see more of her story, click here.

According to a company spokesperson, the store hired about 25 new employees, many of whom live in the neighborhood near the store.
