One motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after he was hit by a car in the City of Tonawanda while traveling with a group of bikers from Iowa.
City of Tonawanda Police say Troy Gene Walker, 50, of Plano, Iowa was taken to Erie County Medical Center with a "serious leg" injury after he was hit at the intersection of Niagara and Seymour Streets at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday.
Police say he was hit by a 2002 Saturn driven by Arkell Harris Jr., 17, of North Tonawanda who told officers "his brakes failed." Harris' car went through a red light and hit Walker broadside.
Walker was riding with three other motorcyclists to Niagara Falls and then onto Nova Scotia.
The investigation and charges are pending.
