A mother is suing Niagara County over the death of her son in the county jail.
According to the Buffalo News, Jenine Townsend says the county neglected to give her son, Dejuan Hunt, proper medical care before he died last year.
Hunt's death was ruled a homicide.
No criminal charges were filed in this case.
Hunt was arrested in August, 2016. He was accused of trying to sexually assault women at Niagara County Community College.
While he was in jail, the sheriff said he tried to hurt himself and later attacked deputies who tried restraining him.
He was found dead in his cell days later.
It's unclear when this reported lawsuit will be heard in court.
