An East Otto woman was killed and her son severely injured in a crash Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office said Andrew Armbruster, 30, was driving north on Bowen Road when he went through a stop sign and struck the driver's side of a tractor trailer.
Both Armbruster and his mother Grace were ejected. Grace Armbruster was pronounced dead at the scene. Andrew Armbruster was taken to Erie County Medical Center with severe injuries.
The tractor trailer driver was not seriously hurt.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and charges may be pending.
