A Jamestown man will spend 20 years in jail for killing his wife and stepson.
53-year-old Allen Witruke pleaded guilty in May to two counts of 1st Degree Manslaughter in connection to the deaths of Eric and Catherine Washburn.
In December 2015, police found the two bodies inside Witruke's home on Burrows Street in Jamestown while they were executing an order of eviction. Officers determined 34-year-old Eric Washburn had been beaten and stabbed to death, and 52-year-old Catherine had been stabbed to death. Both were declared dead at the scene.
Police ended up finding Wiltruke in Olean where he had relatives and charged him in connection the two deaths.
Wiltruke was sentenced Tuesday to two concurrent 20 year sentences, one for each death. He will also serve five years of post-release supervision.
