A man in critical condition today after being stabbed in the Town of Tonawanda early this morning.
Town of Tonawanda police responded to reports of a victim stabbed and bleeding heavily on Delmar Avenue at 3:45 a.m. Police say the man lost a lot of blood because of deep puncture wounds to the kidney.
The victim was taken to ECMC after describing his attacker and his car.
Town of Tonawanda police arrested 22-year-old Gabriel Lopez, of Cheektowaga, a short time later during a traffic stop in a car matching the victim’s description.
Lopez is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
