He has the kind of job that gets him noticed. Jimmy Inman is a street cleaner and he does it "old school", that means he's on foot pushing an old fashioned cleaner buggy. He says" a lot of people thank me and blow their horn at me."

For the past twelve years Jimmy has been making a clean sweep of the village of Kenmore. He's not just the guy picking up cigarette butts. This retired grocery store owner and cancer survivor is sort of a village goodwill ambassador. According to the President of the Kenmore Merchants Association, Marcia Brogan "he gets to talk with all the businesses and the residents and people love chatting with him."

His day starts as early as 5am and he goes the extra distance, not just picking up trash but also trimming some of the lower branches of the village trees. Marcia Brogan says that folks can see Jimmy in action June 17th at Discover Kenmore Day.

Jimmy believes this part-time job is perfect for him saying "it get's me out of bed in the morning, that's why I do it."
