Underage Alcohol Enforcement in Niagara County

NIAGARA COUNTY (WKBW) - On October 25th, between 5 and 10 P.M., the NIagara County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, and the New York State Liquor Authority performed a joint underage alcohol enforcement detail throughout Niagara County.

19 convenience stores were checked by official agents and underage operatives.

17 stores successfully denied the underage purchases of alcohol, but two did not.

19-year-old Stephanie Demmin of Wilson, and 36-year-old Melissa A. Schleef were both charged with Unlafully Dealing with a Child in the 1st Degree, and Prohibited Sales which are misdemeanors.

Demmin is an employee of T&R's in Gasport, and Schleef is an employee of Olear's in Royalton.

Both are due in court on November 13th.
