Standoff Near Days Park Ends Without Incident

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Police, SWAT and Hostage Management Teams responded to a standoff situation in Buffalo's Allentown district around Noon Thursday.

Police say the residents of a home on Maryland Street between College and Cottage Streets were believed to be in possession of illegal weapons.

When the residents inside refused to come out of the home, police fired a projectile through a second-story window of the residence. Shortly after, two individuals, a man and a woman, surrendered without incident.
