SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Village of Springville man was arrested by Erie County Sheriffs for Felony DWI.
Sheriffs say around 9:17 p.m. Saturday, they stopped a vehicle being driven by 26-year-old Nicaiah Ausman, after observing the vehicle had no headlights on, then ran a stop sign, and failed to stay on the right side of the road.
Upon further investigation, Deupties found Ausman to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody was transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Springville substation for processing, where he refused to submit a chemical breath test.
Deputies discovered Ausman had previously been convicted and charged with Felony DWI and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and numerous other infractions. He was also found to be in possession of an illegal weapon and was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Ausman was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraigned in the Village of Springville Court.
