Arrests Made In Southtowns Graffiti Spree

TOWN OF HAMBURG, N.Y. ( release / WKBW ) Town of Hamburg Police have charged Samuel Echeverria, 19, Zachery Wasyl, 19 both of Hamburg and Sean Ratliff, 19, of Angola with the graffiti spree that included St. Mary’s of the Lake, Wanakah Pharmacy, Cloverbank Elementary School, Walmart and the Bible Fellowship Church on Rogers Road.

Police received an anonymous tip regarding the incident, and were able to corroborate the information from a video evidence from Walmart which shows Echeverria leaving the store with stolen spray paint, and allegedly getting into a car with Wasyl and Ratliff.

The vehicle was identified as a white Ford Taurus, where the three allegedly exit the car and start to paint graffiti on Walmart’s building, moving on to commit the rest of the crimes.

The defendants are being charged Making graffiti, Criminal mischief 3rd, and Aggravated harassment in the first degree for the defacement of the churches.
