ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) - The NYSDOT has announced that bridge painting and repair has begun on NY Route 400.
As a result, the 400, both north and southbound, in the towns of Aurora and Elma, have been reduced to one lane in each direction.
The NYSDOT expects these lane closures to remain until Fall.
In addition, the 400 from Maple Street to the 20A exit, will be subject to daily intermittent lane closures between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., and is expected to stay that way for the next eight weeks.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
