Popular Present: 6.5 Million Download Angry Birds on Christmas Day

For new smartphone and tablet owners, Angry Birds turned out to be a pretty popular Christmas Day activity.

According to a report on allthingsd.com, Rovio -- the maker of the popular series of games -- said a record 6.5 million Angry Birds downloads were made on Christmas Day. That number includes both paid and free downloads of the series of games, according to the allthingsd.com report.
