Buffalo- Robert Bennett of the Board of Regents tell Eyewitness News that state education officials have accepted the plan submitted by Buffalo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Pamela Brown for East and Lafayette High Schools. The plan now awaits approval from Commissioner John King.
The plan will allow Johns Hopkins University to take over the two schools as the acting superintendent.
BOCES will also be available for students after school.
The plan comes after the board's proposals were repeatedly turned down.
