Multiple schools in the KenTon district were put on "lockout" after the Town of Tonawanda police responded to multiple calls about a suspicious man in the area with a gun.

Police say a suspicious individual was seen leaving the Mobil Mart this morning at the corner of Highland and Colvin. The man, who is reportedly between 60 and 70-years-old, was reported by another person who overheard him indicating "it's time to lock and load."

The man was described as a heavy white male with a grey beard, wearing a grey sweatshirt and jeans. He also appeared to have a black hand gun.

Police are still investigating. The man has not been found at this time.

As a precaution, The Hoover Complex, Kenmore West, and Lindbergh were put on "lockout" which lessens the ability for individuals to gain access to the schools.
