A sad story from Monday in New Jersey.
According to the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger, authorities said a 55-year-old man and his dog were killed early Monday morning when they were struck by a car fleeing from police in New Jersey.
Six people who were in the vehicle at the time of the incident were taken into custody, according to the Star-Ledger story.
