Major Renovations Complete at Buffalo Public School #81

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW)- Faculty and students of Buffalo Public School #81 celebrated the grand re-opening of the building Monday following a $18.7 million renovation. The renovations lasted 2 years, and was part of the $1.4 billion joint Schools Reconstruction Project within the district. The school now as a 24,000 square foot addition with amenities that include new science labs, clinic, art room & expanded cafeteria. The new superintendent, Dr. Pamela Brown, says projects like this are a perfect example of positive change that is happening within the district.

"It's important we learn to embrace change and thrive on it," said Brown. "I'm excited about the change that's underway in the district and positive change will translate into much better performance for our students."

According to the district, all classrooms within P.S. #81 are also outfitted with interactive smart boards.
