Kaleida Health Enforces Temporary Visitor Restrictions

January 21, 2013 Updated Jan 21, 2013 at 2:15 PM EDT

Just five days after Catholic Health did, Kaleida Health has implemented temporary visitor restrictions as a result of this extensive flu season.

The restriction was put into place last week at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, DeGraff Memorial Hospital, Millard Filmore Suburban Hospital, and the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.

The restriction includes no visitors under the age of 14 and only two visitors allowed per patient at one time (this does not include parents at Women's & Children's Hospital of Buffalo).

In addition, all visitors are required to obtain a visitor pass from the Information or Security Desks before visiting any patient or patient areas in all facilities.

There was no word on when the restrictions will be lifted.
