A Jamestown man was arrested for DWI after Troopers say he was driving 105 MPH on the I-86 in the Town of Randolph.

A State Trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high speed around 9:13 p.m. Monday night. After activating his radar, the trooper confirmed the speed to be 105 MPH.

The trooper executed a traffic stop on the 1998 SAAB, driven by 20-year-old Lawrence Walsh of Jamestown.

Sobriety tests were administered, which Walsh failed. He was placed under arrest for DWI.

Police say Walsh blew a BAC of .16%.

Walsh was additionally charged with Possession of Alcohol Under the Age of 21 after the Trooper for a 16-ounce can of beer in the vehicle.

Walsh was issued tickets and will appear in Town of Randolph Court next Thursday.
