ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) - Alligator on a stick, fried rice krispy treats, and increased security measures are just a few of the brand new features at the Erie County Fair this year.
Organizers want you to know this year's fair will be safer than ever.
Each person and his or her bag will be checked at the gate. There will also be increased surveillance cameras and police presence on the grounds.
There are a variety of new attractions and food to taste at the fair.
Over 1 million people are expected to attend.
The cost for admission is $2 on opening day. Every other day, it is $10. The fair lasts for 12 days.
