BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Expensive tequila, an iPod and tons of cash are stolen from a downtown Buffalo restaurant, and it all happened during the busy dinner rush.
The robbery was all caught on tape, and restaurant owners and police are hoping this exclusive video will help catch the thief.
The bandit walked into Papaya Restaurant on West Chippewa Street last Friday evening while the restaurant was in the height of their dinner rush, slipping into the basement completely unnoticed.
The thief made off with expensive Cognac, tequila and bottles of wine worth nearly $100. At one point, a busboy locked the suspect in the liquor room, forcing him to climb over a wall into an adjoining room to escape.
Anyone who may recognize the suspect is asked to call or text Buffalo Police on their confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255.
