UPDATE - The victim of the overnight homicide early Friday morning has been identified as Jeremy J. Lamar, 19 years old, of Lackawanna, NY.
Buffalo police homicide detectives are investigating an overnight incident that has left one person dead.
Officers initially responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 1:45am in the 200 block of Oxford Avenue, possibly involving two vehicles.
A short time later, it appears one of those vehicles involved struck a pole at Delavan and Main Street.
One person, a male, was declared dead at the scene.
