Car Pedestrian Accident

SENECA NATION OF INDIANS, N.Y. ( release) Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports a motor vehicle accident, involving a pedestrian, which occurred on State Route 438 (Seneca Nation of Indians) on July 1st, 2012 that resulted in a 25 year old Gowanda man being taken by Mercy Flight to E.C.M.C. for treatment of his injuries.

At approximately 2:56 AM a vehicle operated by 31 year old Jason Dunning, of Dayton N.Y., was traveling south bound on Route 438 when it came in contact with a pedestrian who was walking along the roadway. The pedestrian, 25 year old Christopher Denea of Gowanda was transported to E.C.M.C. for treatment of multiple, non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit.
