WEST SENECA, NY (WKBW) A Buffalo man is in critical condition at ECMC following an early-morning crash in West Seneca on Sunday.

Police say the 25-year-old man was driving on Seneca Street at 4a.m. Sunday when his vehicle left the right side of the roadway and slammed into a tree.

The force of the impact threw the driver from the vehicle and tore the car in half.

The driver was taken to Erie County Medical Center with several serious injuries. While police do not suspect any alcohol use, they say it was likely high speeds played a role in the crash.

Investigators are continuing to look into the crash today. No charges have been filed.
