Business First is out with its upstate New York school rankings. Today researchers are out with rankings for teacher pay.
They say Remsen is the top-rated upstate district for teacher pay. It's located between Syracuse and Albany.
Salaries for teachers are generally higher in Remsen than in any other school district in the 48 counties of Upstate New York.
That's according to Business First's annual ratings of teacher pay, which are based on an analysis of salary levels at five selected points in teachers' careers.
After Remsen, rounding out the top five for upstate teacher pay are Albany, Sweet Home, South Colonie and Lackawanna.
Williamsville, Orchard Park and Kenmore-Tonawanda also make the top ten.
Canaseraga has the lowest teacher pay in upstate New York.
