AMHERST, NY (WKBW) -- On Sunday March 21, 2010 at approximately 10:25am, the Amherst Police responded to a report of a possible domestic related homicide at 2330 Maple Road, at the Amberleigh Retirement Community.
Upon arrival, responding officers located the victim, Virginia Bunz ( age 89 ), deceased in her apartment. The suspect, John Bunz ( age 90 ), was also found in the apartment with self inflicted wounds. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at ECMC at the time of this posting.
The investigation is continuing. Eyewitness News will follow this story and have the latest information when it is available.
