BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Many out-of-towners visiting Buffalo for the NCAA Basketball tournament this weekend took time to check out some of the attractions around the region on Saturday. Eyewitness News caught up with some of them at the home of the original Buffalo chicken wing, the Anchor Bar, on Main Street. Some complained that downtown seems dead, but others say they're enjoying their time in Buffalo.
"It's been great. Nice town," says Dan Thomson of Albany, "Lot of fun people. Enjoying the time away from the office for a little while. Good basketball. Having a blast."
"We're from Albany and we have the Times Union Center down there but HSBC Arena just blows the Times Union Center out of the water," says Mike Utzig, "We're really happy to be in Buffalo. The Anchor Bar is great and just the food and people have been really hospitable. Buffalo's great."
