TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW) -- A 15-year-old student at Kenmore East High School is under arrest after being accused of threatening to bring a weapon to school.

Reports indicate that a parent alerted administrators about a text that her child received regarding the student bringing a weapon to the school.

Police were alerted and the school went in to lockdown Thursday, though the student in question was not there, so police went to his home in Kenmore to bring him in to custody.

Police are not commenting on the case at this time, though the school has issued a letter to parents on ther website which can be found here.
