A fourth member of Governor David Paterson's administration has resigned. Acting Director of Communications Marissa Shorenstein stepped down on Wednesday.

Shorenstein made the phone call to a domestic violence victim on behalf of the governor, according the New York Times. The victim was pressing charges against a top Paterson aide, but dropped the charges shortly after being contacted by the governor's office.

Paterson is being investigated by an independent counsel for his alleged involvement.
