ALBANY, NY (WKBW) -- Governor David Paterson announced Monday that he has appointed Kyle Andrews to serve as Niagara County Treasurer.
Andrews will fill a vacancy created when the previous treasurer resigned earlier this year.
Last week, NY State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli released the findings of an audit that indicated former Niagara Country Treasurer David Broderick was involved in some fraudulent dealings.
Andrews previously served as a member of the Niagara County Legislature, and worked in private legal practice specializing in public finance, real estate transactions and estate planning.
