BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Plenty of People were seeing green in downtown Buffalo Sunday. That's because the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade invaded Delaware Avenue. Irish Dancers, Bagpipers, and countless organizations and clubs were all on hand to celebrate. The parade draws big crowds every year, and even with low temperatures, Western New Yorkers braved the elements all for the love of the Irish.
"It's a little cold but were use to this here in buffalo," said organizer Sean Harkin. "But no matter what the weather is here, rain, snow, sleet, shine, we're all Irish today."
Many politicians were also on hand to take part in the festivities, included Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Congressman Brian Higgins, and Senator Charles Schumer.
"You combine the spirit of the Irish and the spirit of Western New York and you have something real special," said Senator Schumer.
