BUFFALO, NY (WKBW/TIMESUNION.COM) -- An article on the Albany Times Union website reports that Buffalo developer Carl Paladino may challenge Rick Lazio on the Republican ticket in the race for governor.
The article says that Paladino sent a letter to state Republican Chairman Ed Cox, saying that he is "a breath away" from launching a campaign to petition his way on to the Republican line.
The report also states that Paladino is prepared to spend up to $10 million on his campaign for governor.
Rick Lazio is considered to be the 'presumptive candidate' for the Republican Party in the upcoming gubernatorial election, though many are concerned about his ability to raise funds.
