BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Here are some of the top stories from Good Morning Western New York.

A shooting in Niagara Falls outside a Hyde Park Boulevard apartment complex has landed one victim in the hospital in serious condition. It took place around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning, though few other details are available.

The warming temperatures have created dangerous ice conditions on Lake Erie, as dozens of ice fishermen discovered Wednesday. An ice shift trapped 40 fishermen on the icy Lake Erie waters. Some required rescuing while others had to navigate miles around the crack in the ice.

The fight for airline safety reform has taken another step towards becoming law after families of Flight 3407 victims made their case in Washington, D.C.
