WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKBW) -- Families of victims of Flight 3407 are in Washington, D.C. in an effort to push new reforms and legislation through Capitol Hill after it hit a snag in Congress this week.

The FAA Re-authorization Bill contains important airline safety reforms, put forth in an effort to prevent a tragedy like 3407 from happening again.

Inside the legislation, however, is an unrelated provision that calls for Federal Express workers to Unionize without a national vote.

Tennessee Senator Bob Corker has opposed this provision, which has slowed the passing of the bill.

Corker has offered his support to the bill with the exception of the Fed-Ex provision, however some say the bill can't wait and needs to be passed now.
