BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- This year's winner for Solo Exhibition of the Year at the Albright Knox Art Gallery used bold colors and a mix of mediums to express his art.

However, the winner of the award, Ricky Nesbitt, is unable to share his thoughts on the honor.

Nesbitt is Autistic, and can neither hear or speak, and communicates using modified sign language.

Learning to draw at Autistic Services, Nesbitt was introduced to photography by a teaching artist, and has been creating unique art ever since.

The exhibit is free at the CEPA Gallery in Downtown Buffalo and runs through March 20th.
