Thousands filled HSBC Arena on Tuesday night for the Billy Joel and Elton John "Face 2 Face" tour.
Many fans bought their tickets a year ago and waited through two postponed shows for the concert.
Joel and John appeared on stage in Buffalo for the first time since 2003.
July's concert was scrubbed because Joel was ill and then December's make-up show was postponed when both musicians fell under the weather.
