A local group's outreach program just stretched a little farther. The Christian Youth Corps has partnered with BonaResponds, part of St. Bonaventure University to collect and make crutches for the injured Haitians following the devastating earthquake back in January. Today, students from the BOCES Ellicotville Center also took part in the initiative. Two classes were able to contribute to the hundreds of crutches already made.

The groups are now looking for donations and funds to continue making these crutches, they are also in need of a transporter to ship the hundreds of crutches. Anyone interested would be responsible for transporting the crutches to Atlanta, Georgia. Once transported to Georgia, a hospital has offered to make shipments to the devastated area.
