Plenty of Western New Yorkers tuned in to see what Tiger Woods would say Friday morning in his first public appearance in months. Eyewitness News caught up with some people at the Paddock golf dome in Tonawanda as they watched Woods' televised speech and afterwards they shared their thoughts on the golf superstar.
"Wrong time to bring it out. Should've waited until Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. His fellow professionals are trying to play golf," says John McGraw.
"I think David Letterman probably had the right idea when he just admitted right away and just let it all settle down after that. That's just one way to handle it," says Dennis Upton.
"I think how it goes is you just want Tiger to play. Everybody wants to know is he going to get out there and play and that's what's most important I think," says Brian Johnson.
"He's just got to get straightened out with his family life but there's nothing wrong with this guy. He's normal. He's a great guy and I think that everything will work out," says Sam Lovullo.
"There's a lot of wonderful kids that stand up and look at him and he's let them down. That's what disappoints me," says McGraw.
