Robin Tolsma and Jennifer West never got to say goodbye to their husbands. Almost one year later, their emotions change hourly as they prepare for an anniversary that they never dreamed they would have to. Jennifer's daughter had just two years with her father.

"I have to go on for my daughter. She is a part of him," said West.

They go on, but want to make sure nobody ever forgets about anyone that died. They ask you on Friday, the anniversary of the crash, to put your porch light on between 10 and 11 p-m, to remember all of the victims. They also ask you to visit the website 3407memorial.com, to contact lawmakers to get bill regarding aviation regulations passed.

"This is something we can focus on and change so does that this does not happen again, because the sad truth is this was preventable," added west.

A friend of Robin's daughter is putting together a Wear Red for Remembrance day, also for friday.

"He always came to Wegmans, and when I was working he would wait in that line no matter how long it was," said friend Casey Duziak.

Casey is getting help from Robin's daughter Nikki.

"Whatever I would not give her Darren would. He was my son's best friend, and Nikki's mentor. He was the reason I was safe in this home, and I just miss him so much," said Tolsma.
